Stevenage have signed Chelsea's highly-rated young keeper Jamie Cumming on a season long loan deal.

Following the departure of Paul Farman to Carlisle, boss Alex Revell has acted quickly to land the shotstopper this week.

The 20-year-old was the Premier League side's third choice goalkeeper last season and has made 11 appearances for the Blues in the EFL Trophy over the past couple of years.

Cumming said, "It is a fantastic opportunity.

"The boss was very keen on getting me in and that was a big part of me signing here.

"He has put a lot of faith in me and I am sure I will repay that. I am just really looking forward to getting started."
