Newport County remained in second spot after a 1-0 win over Stevenage at the Lamex on Tuesday evening.

Tristan Abrahams netted a penalty early in the first half after Liam Shephard had been tripped by Ben Coker.

Danny Newton struck the woodwork for Boro while the visitors shotstopper Nick Townsend denied Aramide Oteh.

Brandon Cooper and Joss Labadie could have extended Newport's lead as they sealed their first ever win at Broadhal Way.

County keep the pressure on League Two leaders Cambridge United, while Stevenage slip to 18th in the table.
