Stevenage FC's Carabao Cup first round fixture against Portsmouth has been brought forward to this Saturday.
The match had originally been arranged for the Lamex Stadium on Saturday, September 5. However, due to an international call-up for the Fratton Park outfit the match has been rearranged.
The Portsmouth player who is affected appears to be Ronan Curtis, who is set to be recalled to the Republic of Ireland squad.
While kick-off will be at 3pm the game will be played behind-closed-doors - meaning Alex Revell's side will start their 2020-21 campaign against Kenny Jackett's Pompey this weekend.
Stevenage start their League Two campaign on September 12 with a long trip to Barrow before hosting Oldham Athletic a week later in their first home league game of the season as we revealed last week.
With 11 new players drafted in as Revell rejuvenates the Boro squad after an underwhelming season later team hopes are high for the Lamex side.
