Blakes Corner Store

Blakes has been a long established convenience store in Hitchin.

Located on the edge of the town centre, opposite the Victoria Pub and next to the police station we are just across the road from Bancroft Park.

Blakes is proudly a family run business and we really believe in serving our local community.

Since taking over the business in 2017 we've slowly grown it from a local 'corner shop' to a mini super supermarket.

We stock fresh meat, vegetables, fresh sandwiches, Costa Coffee, a variety of groceries, alcohol, wine. as well as the usual convenience you'll find in traditional local shops (sweets, crisps, soft drinks). We also offer Hermes Parcel Services as well as Payzone Services.

During the Covid outbreak we started a free delivery service for our customers who were self isolating.

Many were not able to leave their homes as they fell under the high risk category.

The delivery service became very popular and as a result we have decided to offer this on a more permanent basis by having a website built by Hitchin website designers TenX Digital Marketing.

The website offers online ordering, with home delivery slots, much like the major supermarkets. We pick and deliver your orders personally.

Deliveries are same day (or can be booked for future date) and are free of charge for anyone living in Hitchin with an order value of just £15.
