A large number of Arsenal old boys including a former Invincible squad member are looking forward to taking part in a charity match to boost a hospice in north Herts.

Graham Stack, who was on the bench the day Arsenal won the Premier League title at White Hart Lane in April 2004, will be taking part in Sunday's charity game in aid of north Herts based Garden House Hospice.

Stack, who is now a rising star in coaching circles at Watford, was part of Arsene Wenger's squad that lifted the title on a never to be forgotten afternoon at the home of their deadly rivals Spurs 17 years ago.

Posting on his Twitter account Stack said of Sunday's game to help raise funds for the hospice: "Looking forward to it, great cause and delighted I can be part of it."

The clash will be between former Gunner Ian Allinson's team against Betty's Blue Boys.

You might know Betty Leigh Allinson from her incredible fundraising during the height of the first lockdown last season, when the inspirational youngster rode a mile a day on her bike to raise funds to the hospice.

Betty made national headlines as the nation took her to their hearts as she raised more than £30k for the hospice, winning praise from so many, including the late Captain Tom

Dad Lee, who is making waves at non-league level as a boss, will take charge of Betty's team, as they aim to get one over on her grandfather Ian.

The match will take place at Shefford Sports Club at 1230pm on Sunday.

Another former Gunner, Ian Selley, who lifted the 1994 European Cup Winners Cup in Copenhagen is also set to play, posting with a smile on Sunday morning: "Game day in Shefford today - rolling back the years (or walking back the years anyway...)"

Confirmed former Gooners include:

Graham Stack

John Halls

Ben Chorley

Steve Sidwell

David Noble

Chris Whyte

Ian Selley

Paolo Vernazza

Omer Riza

With Kevin Lisbie (Charlton) and John Fortune (Charlton) Stuart Wardle (QPR) also set to take part.
