Bim Afolami MP has hailed Lyndhurst Financial Management as a perfect example of a top quality business in the centre of Hitchin.

The town's parliamentarian praised Lyndhurst, sponsors of Hitchin Nub News, for the quality of their work for clients in our community.

Formed in 1992 operating from Harpenden and having acquired an office in Hitchin in 2015, the firm has supported our community for many years.

Lyndhurst provide independent advice for all ages, from mortgage and savings advice for those beginning their financial journey to pension and tax planning advice to those looking to plan for a relaxing future.

"Lyndhurst Financial Management is a perfect example of a top quality business in the centre of Hitchin," Mr Afolami told Nub News during a visit to their Hitchin office on Bridge Street.

"Hitchin is not just about fantastic pubs, restaurants and outdoor space," he added, explaining that: "It's also about businesses such as Lyndhurst providing high quality advice to local individuals and businesses in this town and surrounding areas - and I wish them every success as we come out of the pandemic."

He added: "Hitchin Nub News has broken the mould, not just in Hitchin but across the country but it can only do that with the support of its community.

"Lyndhurst Financial Management is a good example of a community business, the individuals that work here and Nub News coming together."

Lyndhurst offer a full range of financial services and mortgage solutions to help guide you through your financial journey and believe that working towards, and investing in a future that will be cleaner, safer and healthier.

They have a deep commitment to sustainable investing with their strategy allowing for positively and proactively protecting people and the planet.

Operations director Adam Cook said: "It's great to have Bim on board. He's spoken for us before at some of our conferences and it's great to have him in our community.

"Hitchin has a great community spirit and Lyndhurst's business is about supporting the community. Our clients and our staff live and work in the community and we're happy to support it through initiatives such as this."

For the last three decades Lyndhurst have developed their business to profitably help their clients achieve their objectives by advising them across a whole range of different areas – ones that are either immediately relevant today or will be at some point in the future.

Lyndhurst are renowned for offering financial planning advice tailored towards clients needs. Their team of 30 based in Harpenden and Hitchin recognise that no two clients are the same – and neither are the solutions they put forward.

Their business ensures that the very best generalist and specialist expertise is built in to all of them.

Lyndhurst financial adviser James Wyman explained: "We help clients make better financial decisions. Whether that's through pensions, investments, mortgages, insurance, we can offer an holistic solution for everybody.

"The key word there is holistic. It's not just the financial side – although that is important, it's about long-term care as well, which is key.

"This is important, especially when you've been in a pandemic with people looking after their parents and noticed their health has declined and say, 'actually long term care is something we need to start thinking about.

"This is something we're dealing with more and more, something that many clients may not know too much about. It is certainly something we've been seeing more and more over the last 12 months."

Lyndhurst understand that in a time-poor world we are all increasingly stretched in many directions – carefully balancing business, family and social commitments.

These demands can get in the way of setting time aside to consider future objectives and what is required to ensure they are achieved. Lyndhurst recognise this and helping to bridge the gap between the time available and knowledge of the appropriate planning options is their strength.

Nub News CEO Karl Hancock added: "Lyndhurst is an ideal partner to work with because, like Nub News, the local community is at the heart of what they do. Many thanks to Bim for his kind words about Nub News.

"Nub News and Lyndhurst is the perfect match, as we share the same community values - like us, they really care about the community and about the personal touch - and we're honoured and proud to have Lyndhurst sponsoring Hitchin Nub News."
