Read Owen Rodbard's player ratings after Stevenage's vital victory over Grimsby Town on Saturday.

Matty Stevens scored a 95th minute winner in an enthralling encounter against relegation candidates Grimsby.

An Elliot List strike put Alex Revell's side 1-0 ahead three minutes before half time on top before a 93rd minute Stefan Payne equaliser broke Boro hearts.

However, Stevenage then launched a ball straight from kick off which Stevens latched onto to make it 2-1, prompting unbridled delight from the travelling contingent.

Stevenage:

Jamie Cummings: 6.5 - A couple of smart saves and catches keeping the Mariners at bay

Luther James Wildin: 8.5 - Gives his all every game and was impressive in an eye-catching battle on the right-hand side. Brilliant assist for Stevens' goal. MOTM

Terrence Vancooten: 7 - Calm and composed all game and made some important challenges

Ross Marshall: 6.5 - Imposed performance against an experienced target man in Hanson, however poor defending for the goal

Ben Coker: 6.5 – Reliable as ever

Romain Vincelot: 7.5 - In his element, scrappy and solid in the middle of the park

Arthur Read: 6 - Seemingly out battled in the centre however some smart touches and good passes

Charlie Carter: 6.5 – Gave his all for the 90. Looked lively at points

Jack Aitchinson: 6.5 - Very good assist for the goal. Committed performance

Elliot List: 8 - Quality finish to finish off a clinical counter attack. Provided an option through the centre with his direct runs

Luke Norris: 6.5 - Unusually quiet performance

McKeown: 5.5 – A couple of good saves but was maybe at mistake for the winner.

Hendrie: 6 - Some good balls into the box and energetic down the right-hand side

Pollock: 5.5 – Slow at times and lack of communication from the young defender contributed to the winner.

Waterfall: 6 – At fault for the winner after not tracking his runner

Menayese: 6 - Strong in the tackle and always looking for the forward pass

Habergham: 5.5 - Looked off the pace which is understandable after returning from injury

Rose: 6 - One or two bright moments but failed to make a real positive impact

El Mizouni: 6 - Worked hard with not much result

Matete: 7 - Bustling and energetic in the middle. A bright light in a tough midfield battle

Hanson: 5.5 – Failed to make an impact which wasn't helped by the poor delivery from his teammates

Jackson Jr: 5.5 – Disappointing performance before being subbed off in the 63rd minute
