HITCHIN:It's your last chance to see exhibition featuring portraits of people drawn during lockdown by local artist and art teacher.
'My Covid Portraits' at North Herts Museum features a fascinating collection of 52 pencil drawings by Nathalie Titterton.
Nathalie's portrait project came to life during the coronavirus lockdowns of last year and really helped her feel closer to her friends and family near and far when working on each piece.
Nathalie said: "It was a New Year's resolution to draw a portrait of someone I knew each week for a year, so by the end I'd have 52 portraits of my friends and family.
"I'd never done a portrait in my life, let alone 52. At the time I needed a challenge and didn't realise how ambitious I was being.
"Having started in 2019, it was the lockdowns of 2020 that helped me finish, and got me through such a difï¬cult time.
"The project helped me keep focused and sane, and most of all it gave me a connection, during the pandemic, to those closest to me, a way to keep in touch when we weren't allowed to see each other."
