A Place to Belong: Bringing Our Community Together Through Film
There's something truly special about gathering in a shared space, where stories flicker to life and strangers become a community. At the Broadway Cinema & Theatre, we're not just watching films, we're celebrating culture, conversation, and connection. This April, we invite you to step out of the ordinary and into a world of powerful storytelling, where international voices and unforgettable characters bring us closer together.
Our programme opens with La Grazia (12A) on Sunday 5th April at 17:30, a deeply moving Italian drama that explores the weight of leadership, morality, and personal grief. It is followed by the enchanting return of Amélie 25th Anniversary Re-release (15), screening across multiple dates. This beloved French classic reminds us of the quiet magic in everyday kindness, as Amélie's journey inspires us to look beyond ourselves and find joy in uplifting others. Presented in their original languages with English subtitles, these films not only showcase the richness of global cinema but also create a welcoming space where audiences can reconnect with their roots while sharing the experience with others.
Rounding out the programme is Only The River Flows (15) on Sunday 12th April at 19:45, a haunting Mandarin language mystery that will linger in your thoughts long after the credits roll. Each screening is more than just a film, it is an invitation to connect, to feel, and to share in something meaningful as a community. At the Broadway Cinema & Theatre, culture becomes a bridge between us all, where differences are celebrated, familiar voices bring comfort, and every guest can feel a sense of home. So come along, take your seat, and be part of something bigger, because stories are always better when we experience them together.
