As the end of lockdown nears, the British love affair with afternoon tea looks set to return at a sumptuous 15th century farmhouse near Hitchin.
With restaurants and pub gardens set to be allowed to serve customers sitting outdoors from Monday, April 12, the renowned Farmhouse at Redcoats is planning to host afternoon tea in a stretch tent on its lovely lawn.
From that date, customers will be able to meet in groups of up to six people from different households, and a maximum of two households can meet to form a group of any size - with the stunning property set to help boost the resurgence in the popularity of afternoon tea once again.
Posting on their official Instagram page Farmhouse at Redcoats wrote: "Here's to the sweetest things in life. After the year we have all had we are very much looking forward to savouring precious time together and celebrating being re-united.
"Our afternoon teas will be back from April 12 on the lawns or in our stretch tent, so why not book in something very special to look forward to?
"Enjoy sweet and savory treats all lovingly made in our kitchen, whilst introducing yourself to some of our rare teas such a Lapsang Souchong to Genmaicha Popcorn tea from our kitchen dresser.
"For a special treat pair with a glass of Nyetimber Demi-Sec which is the perfect companion to all our afternoon tea delights.
"This is definitely afternoon tea for foodies and well worth the wait!"
You can book now for anytime Monday – Saturday 12pm – 4pm.
