A cocktail bar and grill is coming to Hitchin town centre.

A self-styled 'all-day cocktail bar' is set to open soon on the site of the former Cafe Rouge.

The new venture, as Nub News reported recently is called Ibos and will also be offering a range of burgers and pizzas.

Nub News has contacted Hitchin town centre boss Tom Hardy and the number listed in a bid to get further information on Ibos.

The new place on Hitchin High Street is on the site of the former Café Rouge after it permanently closed last summer following the owners of the high street chain falling into administration.

The site on Hitchin High Street shut its doors in March last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and did not reopen.

Casual Dining Group – which also owns the Bella Italia and Las Iguanas chains – said at the time that more than 1,900 jobs were to be shed across the country, including Hitchin, after administrators sought to find a new buyer.
