Aston Villa fan finds unusual 'seat' on train journey to see last-gasp Premier League victory at Luton Town

A football fan managed to bag a 'seat' on a packed train - by lying down in the overheard storage.

The group of footy fans each took 10-minute stints in the unusual spot aboard a service to Luton on Saturday, a passenger said.

Pictures show a man in blue jeans and a black top lying in the overheard storage.

Graphic designer TJ Jackson, 34, believes the group were fans on the way to watch Luton play Aston Villa at Kenilworth Road.

He said: "The train was packed and they were chanting football [songs]. It was quite funny.

"It's not something you see every day."

Lucas Digne's 89th-minute header clinched a dramatic 3-2 victory for Unai Emery's Champions League chasing side at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

Villa show character to beat battling Luton, with Ollie Watkins' first-half double cancelled out by Tahith Chong and Carlton Morris, however, Digne's late header sealed a vital away win for Emery's Champions League hopefuls.

Let's hope the Villa fans got a 'proper' seat on the way back home.
