Baby changing facilities reinstated at Hitchin Waitrose after local concerns

Baby changing facilities have been reinstated at Hitchin's Waitrose following concerns raised by local families.
Hitchin MP Alistair Strathern said the facilities have now been put back in place after he raised the issue with the supermarket.
Mr Strathern, the Labour MP for Hitchin, said a number of residents had contacted him following their removal.
After what the MP described as "a little bit of back and forth", Waitrose agreed to reinstate the facilities, with the work completed last week.
Mr Strathern said: "Thank you to everyone who raised the issues caused by the removal of baby change facilities in Hitchin's Waitrose.
"I'm glad to report that after a little bit of back and forth, they've agreed to bring them back, and completed works last week to reinstall the facilities.
"Thank you to all of the families locally who raised this either with me or directly with the store."
The reinstatement will likely be welcomed by parents and carers using the Hitchin town centre supermarket.
