Beat the queues this summer with new wristband system at Hitchin outdoor pool

With a scorcher of a Summer on the cards, Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) and North Herts Council will be introducing a band system for pay as you go customers at peak times during the 2023 season, at Hitchin outdoor pool.

The aim is to improve customer experience, by reducing long queues, relieving parking difficulties and allowing more people to take advantage of the pools on hot days and in the summer holidays.

The band system will be in place every day of the school summer holidays and also on hot weather days outside of the holidays.

SLL said: "On hot days outside of the holidays, we will communicate when the system will be in place on SLL's website and social media channels.

"The system will commence from 9am on the day, allowing customers entry to the facility and time to enjoy the pool for a maximum of three hours."

The wristband system works by assigning each visitor a coloured wristband. Each colour corresponds to a specific time slot, during which visitors are allowed to use the facility. This will ensure that the pools stay at a safe and comfortable capacity, and that more people will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor pools.
