A popular Hitchin pub has thanked its loyal punters for a 'mega week'.

With Hitchin springing into life as lockdown started to ease on Monday, people have been flooding back to the town and all that it currently has to offer.

That includes the welcome reopening of the brilliant pubs in and around Hitchin - including The Victoria.

And the much-loved pub on Ickleford Road took to social media to hail their customers who flocked back in their numbers this week.

"We've had such a mega week - thank you #Hitchin Literally blown away with your support.

"It's good to be back, cheers! Vic and Tom and all the crew.'

The Vic is open today, Sunday until 10pm tonight, serving @dirtydoughpizzaco and @bun.lovin.criminals until 5pm.

Walk-ins will be allocated on the door, with bookings via their app. You can book up to two weeks in advance.

Please note The Vic is closed on Monday and Tuesday to give, as they say, a 'well-deserved break for their crew this week!"
