Police are releasing CCTV images of a person they want to identify following an attempted burglary in Hitchin.

The incident happened around 5.05am on Sunday 30 June, when it is reported that a suspect tried to gain entry to a property on Nightingale Road.

The incident is being linked to a burglary on the same day and time when a suspect entered a property, also on Nightingale Road, and took a phone.

Officers are now releasing these images because they believe the person pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have information to assist the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to email Detective Constable Barnaby Goding at [email protected].

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/53043/24.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
