Coming soon to Hitchin: Craft & Cleaver

A new restaurant offering a range of burgers, barbecues and skillets is gearing up to open in Hitchin town centre.

Craft and Cleaver has taken over the Grade II-listed building that was formerly home to Prezzo on Bancroft - and is busy preparing to open its doors to hungry punters very soon.

As you can see from our photograph after Nub News paid a visit to the site over the weekend, the news comes after a summer planning application was submitted with North Herts Council to allow the American style barbecue restaurant to serve Hitchin meat-lovers.

The unit has stood empty since 2021 when Prezzo shut for good in Hitchin - but Craft and Cleaver owner Adam Richardson has submitted a request to makes changes on the site, as well as applying to the council for a premises licence to serve alcohol everyday from 11am to at least 1130pm.
