A cash collection will be going round to raise funds to benefit children in Hitchin at a Christmas carol service held with St Mary's Choir and Hitchin Town Band.

The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Hitchin which is part of the global network of Rotary International, dedicated to community service, fostering goodwill, and promoting peace.

Their principal aim is to provide practical and financial support to local, national and global charitable organisations and endeavours.

The singing will be in the town square at 8pm on Wednesday 18^th December.
