Detectives appeal for witnesses and video footage

As part of the ongoing investigation into the assault of two teenage boys in Walkern Road in Stevenage last Wednesday (March 13), detectives are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident or who may have captured it on a dash cam or security camera, to get in touch.

The incident happened between 3pm and 310pm by the yellow zig zag lines outside the entrance to Barclays Academy.

Two teenage boys were assaulted by a group of six other teenage boys and were later treated in hospital for their subsequent injuries.

Investigating officer, DC Daniel Judge said: "The six offenders were quickly traced and arrested, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

"We are however still looking for witnesses. We have spoken to a number of people who were in the area at the time, but we believe there may be others who witnessed the assault or who may have captured it on camera, who have not come forward.

"This was a busy time of day and there may have been many people in the area who saw the boys and maybe the incident itself.

"If this was you, please get in touch. If you were driving in the area at the time, with an operational dash cam, please also contact us."

Anyone with any information can contact DC Judge directly via email – [email protected] .

Call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/20951/24.
