Did you witness an altercation in Hitchin town centre?

Police are appealing for information following an altercation in Hitchin town centre.
The incident occurred at around 1.30pm on Monday (28 July) in Bancroft. It is reported that two men were involved in an altercation in the street near M&S. One of the men sustained ABH level injuries to his face.
Both suspects, aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of assault and affray. They have since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Hannah Kelly from the Stevenage Case Investigation Team said: "The town was very busy at this time, and I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident. We will not tolerate this type of behaviour, and I encourage anyone who may have information that could help us progress our investigation to please get in touch."
