NORTH HERTS Officers have released a photo of a person who might be able to help their enquiries after a man was bitten by a dog.

The incident happened on Sunday (October 17) att around 6pm, the victim - a man in his sixties - was walking his dog in Great Wood, Cuffley, along with his wife, when they were approached by another dog walker.

The victim's dog barked at the other dog, described as being similar to a Belgian Malinois, which was not on its lead, and this caused it to bite the victim on his right thigh.

The bite damaged the victim's clothing, piercing his skin.

The injury required hospital treatment and a course of antibiotics.

PC Chloe Roberts said: "We believe the man pictured was also in the woods at the time of the incident and he might have important information that could help our enquiries.

"If you recognise him or have other useful information please get in touch by calling 101 or email me at [email protected] quoting crime reference 41/81208/21."
