Filming for ITV series Tell Me Everything was worth more than £36,000 to North Herts Council, it can be revealed. Details of filming fees, provided in response to a Freedom of Information request from the Local Democracy Reporting Service, show that the authority received £7,450 in fees for the first series in 2021 and £29,210 for the second series in 2023.

The teen drama series, first broadcast in December 2022, was initially set in Welwyn Garden City and North Herts residents have previously spotted filming for the show taking place. In August 2023, for example, filming was seen taking place at Windmill in Hitchin, as well as Broadway Gardens and Mooboo Bubble Tea in Letchworth.

The second series premiered in June 2024, with ITV announcing in January 2025 that the show had been cancelled. Across 2023 and 2024, the council earned a total of £34,094 from filming fees, with shoots for other productions including Escape to the Country (£50), Children in Need (£112), The Bad Skin Clinic (£80) Bollywood film Diler by Three Star Film Ltd (£2,000), and an unknown movie by ISH Film Ltd (£1,200).

Filming for the unknown movie took place at Hitchin Swimming Centre in September last year. Ian Couper, North Herts Council's director for resources, said: "We are always looking at how we can best utilise our assets to generate income.

"Since January 2023, the council has raised over £34,000 in additional income by renting out various council-owned locations across North Herts for filming. Over 2023 and 2024, 19 bookings were taken from a variety of well-known productions.

"Not only does the use of our assets allow us to generate some income to help deliver services to our residents, it also supports the economic growth of the film industry in Hertfordshire."
