By James Denselow 27th Mar 2026
The full line-up has now been revealed for Hitchin Live at The Priory, a brand-new weekend of open-air concerts set to take place in the historic grounds of Hitchin Priory in summer 2026 — with all tickets now on sale.
The new event is expected to bring thousands of music fans into Hitchin across four days, with organisers planning a festival-scale experience in one of the town's most iconic locations.
The concert series opens on Thursday 27 August with The Human League, one of Britain's most influential synth-pop bands. They will be supported by Roland Gift and Toyah.
On Friday 28 August, chart-topping drum and bass collective Rudimental will headline, joined by Ella Eyre and DJ Charlie Tee, with more acts still to be announced.
Saturday 29 August will see indie favourites The Libertines headline, supported by Maximo Park, Reverend and the Makers, Mystery Jets and The Ramona Flowers.
The weekend will close on Sunday 30 August with Ministry of Sound Classical, which reimagines classic dance tracks with a full orchestra. Support will come from dance music names including Roger Sanchez, Danny Rampling, Sonique and Seb Fontaine, with more special guests to be announced.
Organisers say the new event will have a weekend capacity of close to 40,000 people, bringing major live music to Hitchin alongside street food vendors and full festival-scale production.
Blake McCaskill of Supermodified said: "Hitchin Live at The Priory is about delivering a high-quality, multi-night live experience with iconic live acts, from The Human League and The Libertines to Rudimental and Ministry of Sound Classical.
"We've focused on strong, recognisable artists and a standout setting to create something that feels both accessible and special. It's a new addition to the late-summer calendar that we believe will resonate strongly with audiences from day one."
The event is expected to be one of the biggest live music weekends Hitchin has hosted in recent years, with thousands of visitors likely to travel into the town across the August Bank Holiday weekend.
