Are you ready for this weekend's special Hitchin Market Takeover - with stalls, Santa, live music and a bouncy castle

In the land between St Mary's car park and Market Place lives the thriving community of Hitchin Market, writes Deven Thakeria.

On this rare occasion the merry marketeers will march through the Churchgate to reclaim their original home at the Market Place across Saturday and Sunday.

There will everything from food to fabrics and florists to festive goodies, so wrap up and be warmed by this Hitchin tradition, and even discover a side to the town you never knew existed, when market traders take over Market Place.
