Have your say on how Herts Constabulary police rural Hitchin
If you live in the rural areas surrounding Hitchin and are interested in how your community is policed, then your local officers would like to meet you.
They want to know your views about local policing and what issues you think they should be focussing on for the next six months.
A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 27, between 7pm and 9pm, at Offley Village Hall, Luton Road.
Members of the public, who would like to meet their local Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeant, are invited to come along to the public meeting to discuss the issues they feel are important.
The Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) work with local communities, dealing with short and long-term neighbourhood issues. They also work in partnership with other local agencies including North Herts District Council, to tackle many of the ongoing problems.
Residential Burglaries
Speeding
Fly-Tipping
"I am really looking forward to meeting local residents and hearing their views. Their input will help us to understand all of the issues that are impacting on them and how we can utilise our resources effectively," explained Hitchin Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant Guy Westwood.
If you are unable to attend, there is also the opportunity for you to submit your views via OWL – the Online Watch Link system, and 'echo' - our community voice platform. Residents are being asked to submit their feedback regarding the issues that matter to them most until Sunday, September 25.
