Hertfordshire: Police arrest 20-year-old woman on suspicion of murder

Woman arrested in connection with Hertfordshire murder.

A woman has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a murder in Bushey.

A 20-year-old woman has arrested on suspicion of murder this morning, Tuesday (February 1) and is currently in police custody.

Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) Major Crime Unit launched an investigation after Vishal Gohel, aged 44, was discovered unresponsive inside a flat in High Street at around 1045pm on Sunday 23 January.

He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins from the BCH Major Crime Unit said: "Although an arrest has been made, we are continuing to pursue a number of lines of enquiry and are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to contact us. I'd like to thank those who have come forward so far.

"Extensive enquiries are being carried out to help establish the sequence of events before and after Vishal's death.

"Specialist officers are continuing to support Vishal's family and I would once again ask for their privacy to be respected."

If you have information about his crime, call the dedicated phoneline on 01707 355666, quoting Op Pochade, or use the national major incident public reporting site.
