Herts Careline receives glowing feedback as 100% of customers say service offers reassurance

A service helping people across Hitchin and Hertfordshire remain safe and independent in their own homes has received glowing feedback from its customers.
Herts Careline, which provides assistive technology and round-the-clock support to more than 16,000 residents across the county, has published the results of its latest annual Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Every respondent said they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the service, while 100 per cent said having Herts Careline made them feel more reassured.
All respondents also said the service gave their friends and family greater peace of mind.
Meanwhile, 99 per cent said they would recommend Herts Careline to a friend or relative, with 94 per cent saying the service helped them feel more independent.
Herts Careline offers technology designed to help people continue living safely at home, backed by support available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The service handles around 1,500 calls every day.
One customer said: "I am so lucky to have Herts Careline's service, it really makes my life feel safer.
"I appreciate all the kindness and help everyone gives. Anything is always done so quickly and efficiently. Many thanks to all."
Another described how the service came to their aid after they collapsed.
They said: "I was able to press my pendant and knew help was coming before I passed out. Thank you for your help."
The survey also found 100 per cent of respondents felt confident using their equipment, while all those questioned described the application and installation processes as either easy or "about right".
Some 98 per cent rated help from Herts Careline's Welfare Officer as good or excellent, with the same proportion giving that rating to advice from the administration and customer service team.
Support from the service's call operators was rated good or excellent by 97 per cent of respondents.
Councillor Sean Nolan, North Herts Council's Executive Member for Communities and Partnerships, welcomed the results.
He said: "It's fantastic to see such strong feedback for Herts Careline.
"Once again, these results show just how valued the service is by residents and their families in North Herts and across the rest of Hertfordshire, providing reassurance, independence and support when it is needed most.
"I would like to thank the dedicated Herts Careline team for the care, professionalism and compassion they show every day, helping our residents to feel safer in their own homes."
Councillor Sally Symington, Hertfordshire County Council's Executive Member for Adult Care Services, said the authority was pleased to commission the service in partnership with North Herts Council.
She added: "Herts Careline is a vital service that helps thousands of residents feel safer at home, as well as giving invaluable peace of mind to those who care for them too."
