Hitchin band HunyBees need your help

The music sector has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. The inability to perform live shows and properly record has hampered many artists to change career. Not helped by advice to musicians of 'retrain' and seek new work.

Hitchin based indie/rock band HunyBees are no exception to this unwanted problem.

The band need funds to record their new EP and have appealed for public support in raising £1,250 through a GoFundMe page.

The band was formed back in 2018 when lead singer/songwriter Charlie Preston was asked to write a musical.

Duly followed Louis Bailey (drums), Zac Cash (guitar), Leo Stewart (bass) and the band was complete.

2020 saw the release of their song 'Lazy Love Song'. With the wind in their sails the boys continued recording through Covid and released 'Same Old Dreams', 'Ecstasy', 'Better This Time' and recently released the heartwarming song 'Let Me Love You'.

Pair the first three releases with their high production music videos, and it's hard to see how the work has been done on such a minimal budget.

The boys have been praised for their catchy tunes and relatable lyrics, as they stay true to their own description of a 'narrative upon personal and social growth as a teenager'.

Fans have praised them for honing a captivating energy during their live performances.
