Hitchin: Chicken George's must-visit sit down restaurant is now open!

Lockdown has meant it's been a long time coming - but Chicken George's fantastic 'sit down' restaurant is now open!
Hitchin's most popular chicken diner is finally now able to open its eagerly-awaited restaurant section.
The busy eaterie on Bancroft opened last June but due to the Covid pandemic they are only now able to allow customers to make the most of their must-visit restaurant.
Speaking to Hitchin Nub News, renowned owner Chris Cheah said: "We are so excited to finally be able to reopen our sit down restaurant this week.
"The takeaway side has been really busy thanks to the unbelievable support we have received from our amazing customers during lockdown - but now we are buzzing to have our restaurant back."
Chris added: "Each week we will be running a cocktail of the week alongside our regular cocktail menu that includes classics such as Lilly's famous pornstar martini!
"As well as cocktails we have a cracking selection of beers on draught to wash down those award winning wings."
Chicken George hit the headlines when Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford shared Hitchin Nub News' story on the restaurant's kind offer of free food for hungry youngsters to his millions of Twitter followers last year.
