Hitchin Christmas and New Year bin collection changes announced

North Herts Council is advising residents that bin collection dates will change over the Christmas and New Year period, ensuring waste collection crews to enjoy a well-deserved break during the festive season.

Revised collection days will apply from Thursday, December 25, 2025, and residents are encouraged to check their bin hanger, visit the Council's website, or use the new North Herts Council app for personalised reminders.

Useless information as it doesn’t say which bin or colour. Eg When will brown bin garden debris be collected it’s 100% full.
