Officers have released CCTV images of a man whose welfare they are concerned about.

The man, believed to be in his fifties or early sixties, was seen in the Highbury Road area of Hitchin at around 6am this morning (Tuesday 13 September).

Officers believe the man is in distress and are trying to trace him to check he is ok and give him any help he needs.

Inspector Jim Rounce said: "We would also like to make a direct appeal to the man himself to come forward.

"If you see this message, please do get in touch with us or a friend or family member. We are here to help you."

If you recognise the man please call 999 quoting ISR 84 of 13 September.
