Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour 2022 has been hailed as huge success

The annual charity event came to our town on Saturday in front of large crowds of festive onlookers.

The tractors made their way around Hermitage Road to finish in the heart of Hitchin with Danny Pearson, who witnessed the event with his young family telling Nub News: "Everyone did an amazing job on getting the tractors back again this year."

The spectacle first took place last December and is in aid of North Herts charity Garden House Hospice.

Speaking after the event, the Hospice added: "Wow wow wow wow wow. That was special. Whether you were in Baldock, Letchworth, Hitchin or somewhere in-between, we hope you enjoyed the magnificent sight of so many tractors and farm vehicles cheerfully making their way through our towns.

"Remember this event is held in aid of the Hospice so if you enjoyed tonight in-person or online, any donation would be amazing and will help us continue providing our free specialist palliative care for patients, carers and families in our community."
