Who loves ice cream, bubbles and stories? How about all three together in a convivial Hitchin setting?

Renowned children's author Alice Hemming will appear at Fabio's Gelato in Market Place this weekend as part of the brilliant month-long Hitchin Festival.

Previewing the event, Alice said: "I'm really looking forward to coming to Fabio's as part of the Hitchin Festival, where I'll be celebrating a new edition of an old favourite, Bibble and the Bubbles by Maverick publishing, with illustrator Sara Sanchez."

In the story, Bobby loves blowing bubbles, but wonders where they go. Meanwhile, Bibble loves blowing bubbles, but wonders where they come from. When Bibble decides to go on a journey of discovery, he ends up finding lots of fun and even a new friend.

Alice added: "I'll be reading this book, along with possibly one or two others, then having some fun with bubbles, and making our own bubble blowers."

"Ice cream, stories and bubbles – what more do we need on a sunny (hopefully) July morning?"

Saturday 11am - space is limited so first come first served basis

Tickets available on the Hitchin Festival website https://www.hitchinfestival.co.uk/
