It's time for our weekly series 'Five of the Best'!

We take a look at our favourite five stories of the week and share them with you in case you missed any of them.

We care very much about our community - we live in Hitchin and we want to promote and celebrate our brilliant town and community at all times - because we see ourselves very much as part of the Hitchin community too.

We believe trustworthy journalism is more important than ever right now and we're really excited for the future of Hitchin Nub News as we (hopefully!) head out of lockdown.

We refuse to publish any generic stories to encourage clicks. Unlike other platforms, we do not get revenue "per click" so we do not need to resort to click-bait, annoying pop-up ads or surveys.

So, read on for our favourite five Nub News stories on Hitchin over the last seven days

1 - Danny Pearson turns sleuth to 'unlock' the mystery of St Mary's Church

2 - Is Bowman's 36 year association with Ickleford CC the longest sponsorship in UK sport?

3 - How littering affects us all in Hitchin and why assuming someone else will tidy up is lazy

4 - Share your memories of Hawkins of Hitchin with us

5 - Welcome aboard Lyndhurst Financial Management

Thanks for reading!
