A popular vintage clothes store is having a sale with a twist this weekend - your very own chance to buy original outfits owned by a Star Wars Stormtrooper.

The brilliant Jolly Brown is holding a 'Celestial Sale' packed with must-have vintage creations at the Half Moon pub on Saturday (February 26).

The eagerly-awaited event on Queen Street will be a chance to buy stylish, one of a kind, vintage clothing available from talented local makers, sellers and creators.

Included in the line-up of items to buy are classic clothes from the personal collection of Samantha Alleyne.

Film buffs will know Samantha - who hails from London originally but has lived in Hitchin for 20 years - through her acclaimed work after appearing in five Star Wars films since 2014.

Speaking exclusively to Nub News, Hitchin resident Samantha said: "I've been an avid collector of vintage clothing since I was a teenager and have some beautiful pieces.

"Often I'd buy stuff that didn't even fit me just because it was beautiful. My flat is bursting at the seams and I simply don't have the space to store it all.

"So now is your chance to own a one of a kind piece worn by a real life Stormtrooper!"

The modest star of the global pop culture phenomenon Star Wars added: "Hannah Brown from Jolly Brown and Emily from the Half Moon have organised the sale. I'm just tagging along.

"Jolly Brown is a much loved vintage business that has been in Hitchin for years and I actually used to work there for Hannah before I joined Star Wars. She has a studio on Tilehouse Street where people can go and view her pieces."

Saturday's event runs from 11am to 4pm. There will also be rustic food and a coffee truck along with real ales at the Half Moon.
