Hitchin honours The Fallen on Remembrance Sunday: Gallery

By Layth Yousif 13th Nov 2023

In a heartfelt tribute to the fallen, Hitchin observed a poignant two-minute silence on Remembrance Day, uniting the community in solemn remembrance and respect.

A moment of silence, a central part of the day's commemorations took place in Churchyard at Hitchin's cenotaph, before St Mary's Church hosted a Remembrance Day service, as you can see from the picture below.

A number of people attended the Sunday morning event in Hitchin town centre.

St Mary's Church said: "About 500 people attended our service [on Sunday] morning including cadets, scouts, guides and dignitaries for Remembrance Sunday.

"Wreaths were laid at the War Memorial, the Last Post was played and two minute's silence was observed."

St Mary's Church was also resplendent with Remembrance Day flowers as you can see in last picture below.
