A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident after a teenage girl was left injured on a busy road in Hitchin.

Herts Police arrested the man after they were called around 5pm on Thursday, (December 6) to reports of a crash in Nightingale Road in Hitchin.

Nub News understands an air ambulance, an ambulance and a senior paramedic attended after the teen was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall. The pedestrian, a teenage girl, was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital to be assessed.
