Bim Afolami MP pays tribute to the late Hitchin councillor Judi Billing in the House of Commons

Hitchin's Member of Parliament Bim Afolami, has paid tribute to Hitchin councillor Judi Billing MBE, who very sadly passed away last week.

Cllr. Judi Billing had served on North Herts Council since 1980 representing the Hitchin Bearton ward and had represented the Hitchin North division of Hertfordshire County Council since 2013.

Speaking in the Chamber of the House of Commons, Mr Afolami said: "Madam Deputy Speaker, I would like to start by paying tribute to a Labour councillor in Hitchin who recently and suddenly passed away in my constituency.

"Judi Billing had served as a district councillor since 1980 and was an excellent public servant, and I wanted to make that point on the Floor of the House."
