The latest North Herts Pride meeting has been hailed as a huge hit.

The Pitcher & Piano on Market Place in Hitchin town centre was the host for the most recent event.

The evening featured drag artists and singers and followed on from a successful summer picnic in Letchworth, with other meet-ups at Baldock and Royston planned.

Organiser Katie Wilson told Nub News: "North Herts Pride has been going about two years now and in that short time, it has caused quite a stir.

"With regular meet ups, picnics and open Mic nights it is going from strength to strength.

"In a few weeks as will be having our second Pride day in Hitchin, last year was fantastic with about eight stalls in market square but this year will see us hitting the twenty mark, as well as having a parade through the town to celebrate people's uniqueness, celebrating diversity and promoting equality and inclusiveness."
