Benslow Music - Lunchtime Talk on The Importance of Being Oscar Wilde

A lunchtime talk with Tricia Thompson this Friday [October 1]

The event starts at 1pm - tickets include a buffet lunch

Oscar Wilde was one of the best-known personalities of his day, famous for his wit, flamboyant dress and glittering conversation.

He flouted the rules and conventions of Victorian society and took pleasure in being an unconventional figure.

However, he paid the ultimate price for his behaviour and lifestyle, dying penniless and exiled in France.

He left us with a wealth of writing and some of the wittiest one-liners ever, and as he himself said "I have nothing to declare but my genius".

This talk will give a glimpse into the life of the extraordinary man that was Oscar Wilde.

The talk begins with a buffet lunch.
