Hitchin resident, David Steadman, is raising money for an animation series to inspire children to be more active through sport.

The TV cartoon series to hopefully encourage and educate children will be aimed at increasing awareness of the wider selection of sports available through short comic cartoons.

The characters, brother and sister, Anna and Archie are sports mad Lemurs.

They think that more children should try more sports to find one they really enjoy.

Anna and Archie know that being active and having a healthy lifestyle is really going to help them.

They also know that belonging to a club where you meet people that like the same things as you will make you feel really good about yourself and help you to make friends for life.

A qualified PE teacher and having been involved in coaching sport or teaching PE for more than 25 years, David said: "I've seen first hand the positive impact that physical activity and belonging to a club can have on the mental and physical health of children.

"The value in normal times is undoubted, however in the current way we are living there has never been a greater need".

David is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise enough money to make a high quality trailer to show to all of the major TV companies.
