Hitchin Pool Hall Event supports Hertfordshire Mind
By Katie Wilson 28th May 2026
A charity pool night organised by Katie Wilson has raised £164 for Hertfordshire Mind, following a hugely successful evening of friendly competition and community support at Hitchin Pool Hall.
The event brought together players of all abilities for a relaxed and enjoyable night, with every frame helping to boost the final total for the mental health charity. The evening was made possible thanks to Daniel at the Pool Hall, who generously provided free use of the tables throughout the event.
A raffle also took place on the night, featuring a wide range of prizes including a Mr Mulligans family pass, LEAF massage and therapy vouchers, a Finding the Joy 1‑1 coaching session, a £50 Hamilton Billiards voucher, a Stevenage Boxing Club one‑month pass, Shepreth Wildlife Park tickets, a Discover London experience with river cruise, a £15 Pots of Art voucher, a Tring Brewery tour for two, Go‑Kart Laser vouchers, two scuba diving lessons, as well as prizes donated by Hitchin Town Football Club and Stevenage Football Club.
The strong turnout and positive atmosphere have encouraged hopes that this may be the first of many similar events at the pool hall, supporting mental health services across the local area.
