HITCHIN: We all know our town is packed full of coffee shops - but what is happening to a chain brand near to Market Place?

Cafe Nero on Hitchin High Street, yards from the square, is currently closed to coffee lovers.

It appears the inside of the popular coffee shop is having a revamp, with dustsheets covering furniture and fittings, with plenty of workmen looking industrious.

Nub News has reached out to Cafe Nero for comment on what exactly what the work involves, when it will be finished and when punters can expect the town centre store to reopen.
