Hitchin: Warm and sunny weather cut short with freezing temperatures set to return

After such a long winter the warm weather we enjoyed this weekend was a welcome relief - but don't put away your winter coats just yet as freezing temperatures are set to return.
Following Sunday morning's early fog, Monday sees areas of low cloud in and around Hitchin and north Herts, but it should feel pleasant this afternoon.
However, cloud and showery rain will return on Wednesday before clearing on Thursday prior to widespread frosts later this week.
