With lockdown set to be lifted this summer get set for music festivals to return - with an announcement expected this week on the line-up for a popular Hertfordshire event.

Organisers are set to confirm the headliners and line-up for an annual Hertfordshire music festival that was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid crisis.

With Prime Minister Boris Johnson's four-step roadmap set to exit the country from lockdown by June 21, promoters of Standon Calling will be announcing who will be playing at the eagerly-awaited festival near Hitchin.

The festival will mark its 15th birthday in the Hertfordshire countryside at Standon Lordship from Thursday, July 22 to Sunday, July 25.

Music-lovers will learn on Thursday the event's three headliners for 2021 along with other live acts, DJs, comedy and family entertainment.

In a newsletter, Standon Calling organisers said: "We can promise you that this year's festival will be special."
