HITCHIN: The balmy weather in our area continues today, Thursday, September 23.

The afternoon will see plenty of sunshine, with highs of around 23C, with a gentle breeze to cool those planning to savour the unexpectedly warm early autumn temperatures.

This evening will also be a sunny one, but with clear skies the mercury will drop to around 12C.

The end of the week will be more of the same, but make the most of it as things are set to change over the coming days as rain and lower temperature are expected in the early part of next week.
