Hitchin Winter Festival Programme out now
The Hitchin Creative team are delighted to announce the launch of their first ever Winter Festival.
The festival programme contains more than 60 events happening across town during November and December including concerts, pantomimes, theatre shows and much more.
Festival Chair Glyn Doggett told Hitchin Nub News: "This is the first time we've ever collated a winter programme but as Hitchin Creative are now involved in helping to run our summer festival this seemed like the perfect addition.
"There is just so much on locally in our town every festive season, so it's great we can bring it all together in one guide so hopefully more people can find out about it and get involved."
The 'Heart of Hitchin' St Mary's Church leads the way with a number of events on top of its regular Christmas services. These include The Living Theatres two man adaption of Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol' and the return of JD King as Elvis.
The programme also features (amongst many other things)  Christmas Shows from both the Queen Mother Theatre and the Market Theatre, the Holy Saviour Christmas Tree Festival and a very special colour Friday event that will see a number of small independent businesses offer discounts as an alternative to Black Friday.
Programmes are now available to collect from the Hitchin Information Office as well as a number of other places around town. You can also see it online at www.hitchinfestival.co.uk.
