Luton burglar jailed for more than two and a half years
Detectives from Bedfordshire Police's burglary team, Operation Maze, have put a prolific burglar from Luton behind bars.
On Friday, March 8, David O'Hare pleaded guilty to a burglary which occurred on Flowers Way, Luton in July 2022.
The Op Maze team managed to identify O'Hare via CCTV near to the scene, before forensics officers were able to recover evidence linking him inside the burgled address.
O'Hare, 39, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to the burglary and possession of a bladed article and was sentenced to a total two years and eight months at Luton Crown court.
Operation Maze's Detective Constable Jason Wheeler, who led the investigation, said: "O'Hare targeted a property and stole irreplaceable items which left the victim traumatised.
"Burglary causes a great deal of distress for victims, so we will persist in our efforts to catch them. CCTV and forensic evidence linked O'Hare to the offence, giving him no option but to plead guilty."
