Maddie Byway, 36, will be taking on her first ever marathon on the dark streets of Letchworth this April.

Hitchin's closest marathon is an epic effort that goes under the banner of the "Flawed Hero".

Maddie is running to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK and the Flawed Hero Movement CIC.

On her fundraising page she explained how "Pancreatic cancer is a relentless disease, and the stats are devastating—half of those diagnosed don't survive beyond three months. We need more research, more awareness, and more hope."

Last year saw the first Letchworth "Flawed Hero" marathon with 40 men taking on the challenge - with strong support from the local "Football for Fathers" community.
