Witness appeal after altercation in Hitchin

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an altercation in Hitchin.

The incident occurred on Queen's Street at around 6pm on Saturday (16 December).

It is reported that a fight broke out between a group of males, and one of those people involved was described as being in possession of a circular saw. 

One man sustained a black eye and a cut to the eyebrow. 

A 52-year-old man from Hitchin was arrested on suspicion of affray. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

PC Kimberley Slessor, who is investigating, said: "I am continuing to appeal to the public for any information they have following this incident.
